Pelvic floor training with the PelviPower

PelviPower is a newly developed medical device based on the physical principle of magnetic field therapy. With the help of a patented training chair, which was developed by doctors and therapists, the entire muscle system of the pelvic floor can be stimulated.

Repetitive muscle stimulation using a magnetic field, known as "extracorporeal magnetic stimulation", is particularly effective in strengthening the pelvic floor and rebuilding its neuromuscular structure.

This has many positive effects, such as strengthening the pelvic floor, tightening the thigh and buttock muscles and increasing libido. The effectiveness of this innovative form of therapy has been scientifically proven. Various programmes are available for both prevention and improvement of numerous complaints. In the Surgery of Dr Orasche an optimised therapy plan will be drawn up together with you in a consultation.

The importance of the pelvic floor:

The pelvic floor (pelvi) is the body's centre of strength and is often underestimated.

It closes the pelvis downwards, thus supporting the internal organs and making our upright posture possible in the first place. It is responsible for our breathing, the nervous system, the functioning of the bladder and bowel sphincters and is also crucial for sexual function.

The pelvic floor has three main functions:

  • Tensing: Ensuring the voluntary emptying of the bladder or bowel
  • Relax: during urination, defecation, erection
  • Reflective counter-holding: when coughing, laughing or carrying heavy objects

Pelvic floor cross-section. One modern method of training the pelvic floor is using magnetic waves.

A weak pelvic floor can lead to numerous complaints. Potency problems, incontinence, bladder weakness, back pain, menstrual pain or loss of libido can all be caused by a weak or tense pelvic floor.

In women, a weakened pelvic floor can lead to prolapse of the uterus, bladder or part of the bowel. In men, pelvic floor weakness manifests itself in erectile dysfunction, which can lead to premature ejaculation or a weak erection.

Pelvic floor training with the PelviPower:

This new type of magnetic field training makes it possible to relearn the ability of the pelvic floor muscles to contract and then relax again. The repetitive magnetic impulses work on a neuromuscular basis.

The consecutive training sessions improve the libido and prevent uterine prolapse or incontinence. At the same time, the pelvic, buttock and thigh muscles are tightened. Athletes gain more stability and strength thanks to a strengthened pelvic floor.

Who is PelviPower suitable for?

  • People who suffer from uncontrolled urine leakage or bladder weakness
  • Patients who have been diagnosed with a prolapse of the uterus or bladder
  • Anyone who wants to tone and strengthen their abdominal, gluteal and thigh muscles
  • to improve the libido
  • Women who are looking for rapid regeneration of the uterus and pelvic floor after giving birth
  • Strengthening the pelvic floor for menstrual or back pain
  • Improve your posture
  • Men after a prostatectomy to regain continence
  • Preventive strengthening of the pelvic floor before urological operations

How does PelviPower work?

The pelvic floor is stimulated by means of a magnetic field. A magnetic coil is fitted under the seat of the training chair, which generates a pulsating magnetic field that creates an electric field in the pelvic floor muscle system. The repetitive magnetic pulse with up to 25,000 contractions alternately stimulates and relaxes the pelvic floor muscles. This micro-massage effect increases blood circulation throughout the entire torso.

How often should the pelvic floor be exercised?

The duration and frequency of individual pelvic floor training with the PelviPower depends on the type of discomfort. The training units build on each other. As a rule, between 8 and 20 units should be completed. Two training sessions per week are recommended, with each session lasting between 30 and 50 minutes.

Regular training has been proven to strengthen the pelvic floor. This leads to more vitality and quality of life.

Contraindications for pelvic floor training with the PelviPower

The following contraindications exist for magnetic field training:

  • Pregnancy
  • any implants (electronic or metallic between the knee and neck)
  • recent operations (authorisation from doctor required)
  • Metal piercings or tattoos in the genital area
